Description: Detective Somohano was shot during a traffic stop. Detective Somohano and his partner observed a vehicle being driven erratically, called for back-up, then proceeded to stop the suspect. The suspect fled into a local residence and opened fire with a Mak-90 assault rifle. Detective Somohano was shot and pronounced dead at the hospital. His partner and two back-up officers were critically injured but survived.
