Description: Police Officer Shawhan was killed in an automobile accident while pursuing a suspect for a traffic violation. While in pursuit, the patrol car rounded a curve, jumped the curb, and struck a tree. Officer Shawhan was killed instantly. The investigation concluded that wet, slippery highway conditions were a factor in the accident.
