Description: Officer Sanders was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic at the scene of a previous accident. Two vehicles collided on the roadway and then one of the vehicles struck Officer Sanders. The investigation found that wet and slick road conditions contributed to the accident. Officer Sanders was airlifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
