Description: Detective Serrano was killed when his department vehicle was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The suspect driver of the vehicle ran a red light and struck Detective Serrano's department vehicle and fled on foot. Detective Serrano was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
