Description: Police Officer Stefane was ambushed and stabbed in the chest by a mentally deranged man while seated in his patrol car. Officer Stefane was scheduled to begin directing traffic in front of a school when the man approached and, without warning, stabbed him. Officer Stefane shot and wounded his attacker several times and died at the scene.
