Description: Deputy Stuart was patrolling a festival taking place in Durango when he was approached by a man who pulled out a pistol and began firing. Deputy Stuart was struck and killed. Twenty-one years earlier, Deputy Stuart, in his current position as deputy, had shot and killed the suspect's half-brother while attempting to make an arrest. The suspect turned himself into the authorities.
