Description: Officer Smith was shot and killed after responding to a suspicious vehicle report. Officer Smith had detained two suspects on the hood of her police cruiser when a man came up behind her and shot her in the neck. Officer Smith was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. A second officer was shot in the leg but survived.
