Description: Patrolman Stone was shot as he patrolled the railroad yard. Patrolman Stone spotted a man in the dark walking with a bag in his hands. As Patrolman Stone questioned the man about the contents of the bag, the man pulled a pistol and shot Patrolman Stone multiple times. Officer Frank Walker responded to the sounds of gunfire, arrived at the scene and fatally shot the suspect. Patrolman Stone was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries the next day.
