Description: Captain Sparkes was shot and killed by two armed suspects who planned to rob him. Captain Sparkes was taking an early morning bike ride before duty when two gang members approached him. When Captain Sparkes identified himself, a fight ensued and Captain Sparkes was beaten by the suspects. Before fleeing, one of the suspects shot Captain Sparkes with an AK-47 assault rifle.
