Description: While on patrol in the Chippewa National Forest in Bemidji, Minnesota, Forest Ranger Staples' patrol vehicle collided with a deer. An oncoming vehicle had struck the deer, throwing it into the path of Ranger Staples vehicle. The deer crashed through the windshield, killing Ranger Staples in a single-car accident.
