Description: Trooper Slagle suffered a fatal heart attack after he lost control of his vehicle on a patch of ice and veered into a ditch. Trooper Slagle was unable to drive his vehicle out of the ditch and radioed for help. Trooper Slagle was trapped in the car in freezing rain and died before rescue vehicles could reach him.
