Description: Sheriff Scott was shot and killed during the Battle of the Ditch between the US Cavalry and Native Americans. The cavalry attacked a group of five hundred men and retreated to an irrigation ditch. Sheriff Scott was fatally shot in the head when he lit his pipe.
