Description: Agents Salinas and Rodriquez responded to a call for assistance from the local Sheriff's Department. Suspect wanted for double homicide was believed to be hiding in wooded area. As Agents Salinas and Rodriquez blocked off area and searched for suspect, he exited cornfield and began firing at both agents and all other law enforcement agents. Agents Salinas and Rodriquez were killed with a semi-automatic assault rifle and bullets that penetrated their body armor.
