Description: Patrolman Spaulding was providing back-up to another officer on a routine traffic stop when the two suspects fled. Patrolman Spaulding and the other officer pursued on foot and caught the two suspects. As Patrolman Spaulding transported one of the suspects to headquarters he suffered a heart attack. His patrol vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree. Patrolman Spaulding was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
