Description: Officer Sorrentino and his partner were in foot pursuit of four robbery suspects and split up in order to apprehend them. His partner heard a shot and found Officer Sorrentino shot several times in the abdomen. Officer Sorrentino died ten days later from his wounds. The suspects were apprehended. Three of his assailants died in prison. The fourth man is in jail and eligible for parole.
