Description: Detectives Steinke AND Jeremiah Lucey and were shot by a suspect as they attempted to arrest him for assault. Detective Lucey was shot through the liver and died the following day in the hospital. Detective Steinke was shot five times and died in the hospital a week later from his injuries. The suspect held over 150 officers at with gunfire before they shot and wounded him.
