Description: Detective Sergeant Shambleau and Officer George Holdburg arrested two robbery suspects and were transporting them to headquarters when one of the suspects drew a .32-caliber revolver and shot both officers. Detective Sergeant Shambleau was shot three times in the back. Officer Holdburg was wounded but survived. His assailant received a sentence of life in prison.
