Description: Patrolman Sam was shot, while off-duty, during a robbery attempt. Patrolman Sam had finished his shift and was still in uniform when he left the department. Patrolman Sam was seated in his personal vehicle in front of a friend's home and chatting with a friend when they were approached by three men who pulled a gun, aimed it directly at the female and announced a robbery. Patrolman Sam was shot as he reached for his gun. Two suspects fled on foot. The third suspect stole the car with Patrolman Sam still inside. The suspect fatally shot Patrolman Sam three more times and stole his gun, badge and wallet. The three suspects were convicted of murder and sentenced to 20-75 years in prison.
