Description: Patrolman Slocum suffered a fatal heart attack after a foot pursuit of an armed suspect. Patrolman Slocum answered a disturbance call where an intoxicated man was brandishing a pistol and threatening the neighbors. When the suspect saw Patrolman Slocum he fled the scene. Patrolman Slocum pursued the suspect on foot for about one block until he captured and subdued him. After placing the suspect in handcuffs, Patrolman Slocum suffered a massive heart attack and died.
