Description: Patrolman Stanley was shot by a suspect while on duty at the police department. Patrolman Stanley had stopped the suspect earlier in the day for a traffic infraction. The suspect went home, retrieved a pistol and shotgun and went to the police station where he located Patrolman Stanley and shot him several times. Patrolman Stanley was transported to the hospital where he died. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. The sentence was later commuted to life in prison.
