Description: On April 24, 2018, Police Officer Santander, a second officer, and a store employee were shot at a local hardware store in Dallas, Texas. The suspect was detained due to shoplifting and it was discovered he had a felony warrant. The suspect produced a handgun and shot both officers and a store employee. Officer Santander succumbed to his injuries the following day. The second officer and store employee survived their injuries.
