Description: Captain Scavuzzo suffered a fatal heart attack after attending the autopsy of a homicide victim at the Medical Examiner's office. After the autopsy was completed, Captain Scavuzzo and a second officer then went to the river, which was crime scene of the homicide, and canvassed the area. During lunch, Captain Scavuzzo complained of fatigue and requested the rest of the day off. Captain Scavuzzo was found unresponsive at his home and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
