Description: Marshal Schlote suffered a fatal heart attack when he was attacked after responding to a disturbance call at the Centennial celebration. Marshal Schlote got into a scuffle when he attempted to arrest several teenagers who had been drinking. After the incident, Marshal Schlote collapsed and died. His assailant was convicted of resisting arrest and assault and battery.
