Description: Assistant Marshal Schmitt was injured in a motorcycle crash while in pursuit of two speeding motorists. Marshal Schmitt was in pursuit of the motorcycles when one of the suspects intentionally struck Marshal Schmitt. Marshal Schmitt was transported to the hospital with severe injuries and died the next day. The suspect was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
