Description: Officer Silvera was struck and killed while deploying spike sticks to stop a suspect vehicle. The suspect, who was wanted on an assault warrant from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, led police officers on a 13 mile chase at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The chase ended in Lino Lakes, Minnesota when the suspect struck and killed Officer Silvera.
