Description: Patrolman Shepela accidentally shot himself with his own gun as he attempted to remove it from its holster to defend himself against a violent dog. Patrolman Shepela was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh and remained there until his death three weeks later on November 25, 1928.
