Description: Special Officer Simmons was stabbed while attempting to quiet partygoers at a dancehall. Officer Simmons was grabbed from behind and held while several suspects slashed him with knives and razors. Officer Simmons died at the scene. Four suspects were charged and convicted of murder. One suspect received a 40 year sentence. The other three suspects were sentenced to life in prison.
