Description: Town Marshal Smith was feeding a prisoner at the Starbuck town jail unaware that the prisoner had been slipped a revolver through the bars by an accomplice from outside. Sheriff Smith was shot and killed by the prisoner. The prisoner escaped but was later recaptured.
