Description: Sergeant Snider experienced a pulmonary embolism and drowned in Lake Geode as he attempted to save his young daughter who was in a boat by herself. The waves were pulling the boat away from the dock and Sergeant Snider jumped into the water without a life jacket to bring the boat and his daughter back to shore. Sergeant Snider experienced back pain and sank under the water. His body was recovered from the lake two hours later.
