Description: Guard Snow, of Convict Camp #8 in Orange County, was supervising 20 inmates on the road building force when he was attacked and struck over the head with a shovel. An inmate then took the service revolver from his holster and shot Guard Snow in the chest with his own weapon. Guard Snow was transported to the hospital where he died later that evening. Two inmates were convicted of murder and sentenced to death via the electric chair.
