Description: Deputy Constable Stone was accidentally shot with his own gun as he searched the Southern Pacific rail yard for three hobos. Deputy Stone knelt and was about to search underneath a railroad car when his gun dropped from its holster and discharged. Deputy Stone was transported to the hospital where he died the next day.
