Description: Patrol Officer Stone was killed in a single-vehicle crash when his patrol car swerved to avoid another vehicle and struck a utility pole. Officer Stone and his K9 Max, along with officers in three other squad cars, were in pursuit of a traffic violator when the crash occurred. K9 Max was injured but survived. The driver was arrested and convicted of vehicular homicide.
