Description: Officer Scott was killed after stopping a suspicious man near the Los Angeles International airport. While talking to the suspect, a struggle ensued and Officer Scott was assaulted and knocked to the ground. The suspect then jumped into the patrol car, drove the police vehicle onto the sidewalk and struck the officer. Officer Scott was thrown against a fire hydrant, killing him instantly.
