Description: Patrolman Swartzlander was struck and killed by a vehicle fleeing police. Patrolman Swartzlander was setting up a roadblock on Indiana 106 to stop the vehicle when the robbery suspect struck him. Patrolman Swartzlander was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
