Description: Police Officer Slot was struck and killed while deploying spike-sticks to stop a pair of fleeing bank robbers during a high speed pursuit. After placing the spike-sticks, Officer Slot moved to the shoulder of the road for safety. As the suspects approached the spike-sticks, they intentionally swerved to strike Officer Slot with their vehicle. Officer Slot died at the scene. Both suspects were killed during an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement officers.
