Description: Captain Snellen and Lt. Ed Blue were injured in an automobile crash when their patrol car skidded on the wet, slippery road and collided with another vehicle. Captain Snellen was transported to the hospital with a broken back and died of his injuries the next day. Lt. Blue survived.
