Description: Patrolman Stoutamyer, while off-duty, was shot in front of his residence an act of revenge by a man that the officer had arrested earlier that month for drunk driving. Patrolman Stoutamyer returned fire and wounded his attacker before he died at the scene. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to 24 years in prison.
