Description: Agent Smith was patrolling the Milan freight yard in Fayetteville, North Carolina, when he came across a hobo. Agent Smith attempted to make an arrest but the suspect fled. Agent Smith fired at the suspect, chasing him into the woods. Agent Smith was found mortally wounded, shot in the head and chest. The juvenile was captured and later confessed to killing Agent Lyle Clements a week after killing Agent Smith.
