Description: Trooper Schoenberger was severely injured in an automobile crash when his unmarked cruiser was struck from behind by a semi-trailer truck. Trooper Schoenberger had stopped to direct traffic around a car fire and was still seated in the vehicle when the crash occurred. Trooper Schoenberger was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries five days later.
