Description: On March 26, 2017, Patrolman Terney was shot after he pulled over a vehicle and the suspect fled on foot. Patrolman Terney deployed his Taser which had no discernable effect on the suspect. The suspect then shot at Patrolman Terney several times and Patrolman Terney was able to return fire. Patrolman Terney was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds the following day. The suspect was also transported to the hospital and subsequently charged with first degree murder.
