Description: Sergeant Taylor was shot and killed in the front yard of his house as he was returning home from his regular work shift. Sergeant Taylor was ambushed by four gang members retaliating because Sergeant Taylor had placed a fellow gang member in lock down status at the Shelby County Jail. Those arrested used a handgun and an AK-47 assault weapon to kill Sergeant Taylor.
