Description: Two inmates, incarcerated at the county jail facility where Deputy Torrence was employed, plotted an escape. In doing so, they severly beat Deputy Torrence on the head with an iron bar. To insure that Torrence would not cry out for help, the inmates shoved numerous towels down Torrence's throat and mouth.
