Description: Deputy Marshal Thurlo succumbed to injuries sustained when he was shot while searching a wagon for whiskey near Duncan, Indian Territory. Marshal Thurlo was shot in the back by a suspect while he searched the suspect's wagon. Marshal Thurlo succumbed to his wounds a few days after the incident.
