Description: Police Officer Taylor died on August 29, 2012, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile crash on February 18, 2012. Officer Taylor was responding to an officer needs assistance call with his emergency lights and siren activated when his patrol car was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light. Officer Taylor required a back surgery due to the crash. Officer Taylor underwent surgery on August 23, 2012, and died due to a blood clot six days after the surgery.
