Description: On June 20, 1987, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Detective Traynor ran to the aid of another officer who was struggling with a prisoner who was attempting to escape. Detective Traynor pulled the prisoner off of the officer and fought with the prisoner as they fell to the floor. Detective Traynor went home after his shift ended at 8:00 a.m. He was reportedly not feeling well and complained of chest pains. The next morning, around 6:00 a.m., Detective Traynor suffered a heart attack. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:25 a.m.
