Description: Trooper Thomas was investigating a rear-end accident during rush hour in Seattle on Interstate 5 in heavy rain. A third motorist lost control and struck the stopped vehicle, which struck Trooper Thomas. Trooper Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.
