Description: Accidental shooting. Friendly Fire. Three persons were arrested and placed into a patrol vehicle. Chief Troutman was seated in the driver's seat, as officers placed the arrestees into the car. The third arrestee allegedly resisted arrest, acting unruly. The arresting officer swatted him on the head with the barrel of his service weapon, which fired on impact. The bullet struck the Chief in the head.
