Description: Chief Taylor was shot by a suspect the day after the suspect's barn burned down. The suspect had an ongoing dispute with Chief Taylor and believed that he was responsible for the fire. The suspect located Chief Taylor in front of a store and shot him twice with a shotgun. The suspect then followed Chief Taylor into the store and shot him four more times with a handgun. The suspect was convicted of murder and confined to the department for the criminally insane.
