Description: Town Sergeant Taylor succumbed to a gunshot wound he sustained the previous day in a shootout with a suspect wanted for a double shooting. The suspect had shot two men and was hiding in a residence. Sergeant Taylor and several sailors from the naval base located the suspect and attempted to arrest him. The suspect produced a weapon and shot Sergeant Taylor three times. Sergeant Taylor died the next day.
