Description: Patrolman Tillery was conducting a search of a residence in the red-light district. A man suddenly jumped through the rear window of the house and fired two shots at Patrolman Tillery who, though mortally wounded, managed to return fire. The suspect escaped. Patrolman Tillery died in his partner's arms.
